Recontextualising Discourse: Exploring the Workings of the Meso-Level
This peer reviewed journal article arises out of my original PhD thesis submitted in 2002. From empirical data, it points to the importance of the under-researched meso-level, that is, those acting between central government and schools, as mediators in the processes of policy making and implementation. It added to the neglected area of school subject histories and was the first to make a substantial contribution in the field of school economics.
