Dr Amanda Robinson appointed to the Welsh Government's Group for Domestic Abuse (Wales) Bill

Success - Wales’ New Teaching Masters

Working in partnership with Bangor University, Aberystwyth University and the Institute of Education we will provide the three year part-time practice-based award for newly qualified teachers. More
Children, Sexuality & Sexualisation Conference Report

A Cardiff University and Welsh Government initiative has aimed to find out exactly what young people think of the sexualised products, media and imagery that surround them and in the context of their views on sex and sexuality education more widely.
A one-day conference allowed young people to talk alongside policy-makers, academics and teachers about issues including sexualised media, sexual texting and school-based sexual harassment. More | Conference Video Channel

Hate crime research project invited to give evidence to Welsh Government Committee

The All Wales Hate Crime (AWHCR) Project has been invited to provide evidence to the Welsh Assembly Government's Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee. Dr Jasmin Tregidga, Research Associate for the project gave evidence at the Senedd on 21 September as part of the Committee's Inquiry into Disability-related Harassment. The AWHCR, which is based in the Centre for Crime, Law and Justice, examines the nature and impact of hate crime and hate-related incidents in Wales by undertaking groundbreaking quantitative and qualitative research which will generate the most comprehensive dataset of its kind anywhere in the UK.
