Work Skills, Training and Job Control in the Recession

Professor Alan Felstead from the Cardiff School of Social Sciences is leading a team of researchers who are investigating the impact of the recession on working lives. The research is based on a survey of workers carried out across Britain in 2012. The first results of the survey will be announced at a launch event to be held at the BIS Conference Centre. The themes of this event will be work skills, training and job control.
A second launch event will take place on 20 May 2013 at the Institute of Education, London and will focus on work intensification fear at work and job-related well-being. Booking details to follow.
The other members of the team are Professor Duncan Gallie (Nuffield College, Oxford), Professor Francis Green (LLAKES, Institute of Education, London) and Dr Hande Inanc (Nuffield College, Oxford).
