Two conferences have been organised by the ESRC centre on Skills, Knowledge and Organisational Performance (SKOPE) to present findings from a major Russell Sage Foundation project on the future of low wage work in Europe. Teams from the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark have been undertaking a three year project exploring the nature and developments in the quality of jobs at the lower end of the labour market focusing primarily on case studies from five industries: hotels, hospitals, retail, food processing and call centres. These two events should be of key relevance to academics, policy makers and practitioners who are interested in whether different institutional and policy settings produce different prospects for low wage workers. The provisional agendas are available in the Related Resources section of this page.
To book your place at London or Cardiff, please call the SKOPE office on 01865 271087 or e-mail Skope@economics.ox.ac.uk
