Cardiff University's Masters Degree module in Inclusive Governance
Limited self-government and the creation of the National Assembly for Wales in 1999 has introduced a new era in Welsh politics, one that has been associated with an attempt to create functioning Inclusive Government. This website draws together four research projects exploring the success of these efforts over the last five years.
The projects were conducted by a team of social scientists at Cardiff University and the University of Wales, Bangor. These are:
- The Effectiveness of Inclusive Governance: A Study of the Participation and Representation of Minority Groups in the First Two Years of the National Assembly
- Social Capital and the Participation of Marginalized Groups in Government 2001-04
- An Absolute Duty: Equal Opportunities and the National Assembly for Wales - A Study of the Equality Policies of the Welsh Assembly Government and their Implementation: July 1999 to March 2002
- Action Against Discrimination in Pay Systems: A Preliminary Evaluation of the Close The Pay Gap Campaign in Wales 2002-03
In addition to detailing these the website also provides information regarding news and dissemination events relating to the projects, and the Inclusive Governance Masters Degree Module ran at Cardiff University.
