Environment

The EHE is  split into four “levels:”
  • Tours
  • Theory
  • Analysis
  • Reflexive/methodology
At any point in the EHE these four buttons are always available.

Tour: this is the primary mode of interaction.  At any point in a tour a visitor can simply follow the tour, take a detour (if one is available) or move to a discussion relevant to the current part of the tour on a different level.
Theory: the theoretical stance of this work rests on Hall's encoding/decoding model of communication applied to heritage.
Analysis: detailed discussions of various issues, often focussing on the conditions and context of the current tour node.
Reflexive: at any point a commentary exists which is relevant to the current node then a visitor can select it.
