The Cardiff University School of Social Sciences is a dynamic multidisciplinary School that is looking to invest further in world class scholars. The School is a recognised centre of excellence in the social sciences. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise the School was ranked first nationally on 'research power' in the Sociology unit of assessment. It now has the opportunity to recruit both established international scholars and rising stars.
The School welcomes social scientists who combine innovative methodological expertise and vision with a strong empirical record. We are particularly keen to add to our considerable strengths in sociology, criminology, and education (particularly management and leadership) and in the emergent field of digital social science.
Potential applicants should have an excellent and developing publication record, evidence of the potential to ensure successful research grant capture and be a committed and innovative teacher and communicator.
