Career Profile
After six years as Pro Vice Chancellor at Cardiff University (2004-10) and a year’s sabbatical leave, I am now combining strategic work for Cardiff University with being the Director for Wales of the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.
Research
I continue my interests in inequalities, women and science policy, gender mainstreaming and higher education funding (see Projects). My research has been focused on contributing to evidence-based policy.

- 2003 Commander of the Order of the British Empire, for services to higher education and equal opportunities

Teaching Profile
I contribute to two modules on the MSc Equality and Diversity, a course designed to equip people working (or wanting to work) in the equalities field with a theoretically informed evidence based approach to cross strand working.
