Dr Nina Jacob
I joined the Cardiff School of Social Sciences in April 2012, having previously worked at the University of Bristol’s School of Social and Community Medicine. My research focuses on the health and well-being of young people, particularly risk behaviours and their distress and suicidal behaviour.
I worked as a post-doctoral research assistant on an ESRC project which explored the interaction and relationship of young people’s risk behaviours, specifically alcohol, tobacco and cannabis use (more information here). I am currently working on a NISCHR funded post-doctoral social care fellowship, which focusses on young people’s self-ham and internet behaviour. The main study website for potential participants of the study can be accessed here.
