Research Interests
My current research includes: adolescent smoking and smoking cessation; school smoking policies and the methodological and the ethical considerations of researching in schools. I am also interested in mental health; the roles of culture and tradition in health behaviour and the geographical experience of health.
Current Research Projects
As a research associate based within the Cardiff Institute of Society, Health and Ethics (CISHE), I am currently working on:
Ongoing PhD research into Adolescent smoking in Wales: the role of school smoking policies and the wider school environment (Wales Office for Research and Development Studentship).
Development of research into the methodological and ethical considerations of the school as a research context.
Involvement with evaluation of the EU funded adolescent smoking cessation pilot project
Involvement with data collection for the evaluation of the Welsh Assembly Government’s Free School Breakfast Initiative
