Research in Medieval History
Medieval History of Britain, Europe and the Middle East represents an area of longstanding research strength.
Research currently includes work on: the history of Anglo-Scottish frontier to c.1200; Heresy trials; popular memory, practice and gender; late medieval sexuality; Medieval slavery; Medieval peacemakingl the English Gentry; visual history and social display, as well as research on the history of the crusades; Byzantine Eunuchs; English social history (12th-15th centuries) and Italian history (12th-15th centuries).
