Islam UK Centre hosts interfaith dialogue
On Saturday 9th July the Centre for the Study of Islam in the UK and the Muslim Council of Wales invited two prominent religious figures to an event entitled “Interfaith Dialogue: Muslim and Christian Perspectives”.
Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor, the Archbishop of Westminster addressed the audience of over four-hundred first and spoke of the importance of interfaith in today’s modern times. Dr Jamal Badawi, an internationally known speaker on Islam and professor emeritus, commented on the aims of interfaith and how they can be achieved.
The event is another example of the Islam UK Centre’s close links with the community and positive role in promoting the understanding of Islam and Muslim communities in the UK today.
