Cardiff graduate has been recognised for contribution to research into the conservation of our cultural heritage.
In 2009/10, Cardiff School of History, Archaeology and Religion secured £1,045,458 in research grants from research councils and other funding bodies.
Dr Shaun Tougher (Cardiff University) organised a panel on the use of eunuchs at the 2010 World History Association's Byzantine and Ottoman Civilisations in World History Conference in Istanbul in October 2010.

The 'Welsh Voices of the Great War Online' project ran a series of seven successful roadshows around Wales to collect items and memorabilia from the First World War.

Cardiff University has been awarded a prestigious grant from the Leverhulme Trust through which Senior Lecturer in Bioarchaeology Dr Jacqui Mulville and artist Paul Evans will share their practice and expertise to explore and develop new visualisations of animal osteology in a project entitled 'Osteography'.
