Structure and Decay of Inorganic Objects - 10 credits (HS2360)

This module defines the structure of a range of inorganic materials and examines their decay in various conservation contexts (e.g. wall paintings, stone, glass, ceramics and mosaics). The decay environment is defined and its influence on the decay process is studied. The condition of archaeological material is assessed.
