Third Year Archaeology Dissertation - 20 credits (HS2312)
The undertaking of a special subject dissertation in archaeology will normally represent the development and completion of work begun in the second year independent study. The detailed study of a particular area of interest presented to publication standard allows the development of research and presentational skills appropriate to a wide range of future archaeological and nonarchaeological areas of employment.
Staff: Individual supervision
Teaching: Regular supervision with not less than two meetings between student and supervisor in each semester.
Assessment: A presentation, normally in the form of a written dissertation of up to 10,000 words, supported by appropriate illustrative material and with brief catalogues where necessary.
