In March 2012 I contributed to a podcast on digital literacy in universities, put together and hosted by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC).

From February 2012 I took on co-chairing and co-organising responsibilities for a monthly series of public lectures in the Humanities called Discovering the Past and Present at Cardiff University’s Centre for Lifelong Learning. Click here to see this year’s stimulating programme.

In June 2011 I organised a community-focused event called Poets Encounter Illness, featuring award-winning poets Gwyneth Lewis and Philip Gross. This was as part of my work on the Off Sick Project at the University of Glamorgan. Click here for more information on the project.

In November and December 2010 I ran a series of public workshops as part of a collaborative project between the Open University and the BBC called Hands on History; the High Street. These were held in Aberystwyth, Wrexham and Merthyr Tydfil

From January to March 2010 I taught a six-week course on behalf of the Open University called Discovering Welsh History. This was delivered to job-seekers in the Ely area of Cardiff and designed to equip them to study at undergraduate level

In December 2009 I delivered a Welsh history workshop for the Open University to members of the Chinese community in the Grangetown area of Cardiff.

Between August and November 2009 I ran a series of public taster sessions on Welsh history for the Open University. These were held at various venues across South Wales including Cardiff Central library and Caerphilly Castle
