PhD conference:
'Climate Transitions: Connecting People, Planet and Place'
Interdisciplinary research is a key aspect of the aims and ethos of both the Tyndall Centre and the Sustainable Places Research Institute, and this conference actively encourages researchers from a wide range of climate change related fields to participate. By attending, delegates will benefit from the experience of communicating their work to an audience comprised of researchers from different backgrounds, and will also have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of contemporary debate and research centred around climate change and society. The conference aims to encourage delegates to collaborate with fellow PhD researchers, whilst building relationships and possible future research networks.
PhD researchers are involved in cutting-edge, front-line climate change research, yet many have limited opportunities to engage and communicate with their PhD peers. This conference provides the opportunity for delegates to present their research and stimulate discussion, with the aim of receiving critical feedback, forging new research networks and gaining insights from a variety of different perspectives from researchers working within the wider climate change arena.
