The PCNS is proud to present our latest neuroscience café:
"Wales Autism Research Centre"
Tuesday the 7th of June.
From 6.15pm, Graduate Centre.
The next café will be hosted in collaboration with the Welsh Autism Research Centre on Tuesday 7th June from 6.15pm. This café will highlight the sensory symptoms of autism, including the perspectives of families and professionals dealing with these symptoms in everyday life and information from academics on research being undertaken into the topic.

In addition to these neuroscience cafes the regular socials have continued, and our science themed pubquiz on the 19th May was a success raising £100 for Mencap, the charity chosen by the winning team.

The Postgraduate Cardiff Neuroscience Society (PCNS) supported by the NMH RI, has hosted several events over the last few months including a neuroscience café on ‘Science and the Media’. This cafe led by Dr. Chris Chambers from the School of Psychology and Prof. Jenny Kitzinger from the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies covered issues such as how to improve the communication between scientists and journalists and where the responsibility lies for reporting good science.
