Andrew is Dean of Chaplaincy Studies and responsible for the development of the Centre for Chaplaincy Studies. Other than chaplaincy, his key research interests are:
- Research methods in Practical Theology
- Hermeneutics
- Theology in secular multi-cultural contexts
