Occasional/non-degree admissions
This page gives you information about occasional and non-degree admissions at Cardiff University.
The University gives a range of opportunities if you wish to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level which does not lead to a formal qualification from the University. If you study in this way, you will be classified as an occasional or non-degree student.
Occasional students
Normally students attend limited aspects of a ‘regular’ programme and are charged fees at an hourly rate.
Non-degree students
Normally students would attend a programme for at least one term or semester and are charged fees on a pro-rate basis.
