Spanish

(Advanced and Beginners)

For students with A level Spanish (EU5101, EU5110).
For beginners (EU5102, EU5111).
All students taking BA Joint Honours Spanish and Japanese will take 60 credits in Japanese, 40 credits in Spanish and a further 20 non-language credits taught within the School of European Languages, Translation and Politics and selected from the list published at the end of the Japanese entry in this Guide.
Post A level students of Spanish are normally required to have Grade B or above at A level in the language.
Beginners in Spanish are normally required to have Grade B or above at A level in a foreign language.
Students with qualifications other than A levels wishing to study Spanish are expected to have proven linguistic skills. They are advised to contact the Hispanic Section of the School of European Languages, Translation and Politics for guidance.
