Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies

Students taking a single Honours degree in Journalism, Media & Cultural Studies will automatically be enrolled for all four modules listed below, a total of 80 credits.
Students taking Joint Honours Journalism, Media and English Literature will be automatically enrolled for MC1110 and MC1578, a total of 40 credits.
Students taking Joint Honours Journalism, Media and Sociology will be automatically enrolled for MC1110 and MC1578 and must also take a third 20 credit module in Journalism, Media & Cultural Studies.
Students taking Journalism as an additional subject can ONLY take MC1110 and MC1578 (students taking Journalism as additional are not permitted to take MC1114 or MC1115).
Entry Requirements: ABB at A2 level.

For the first time this year, first year students who enrol on Journalism modules will be able to attend Welsh language seminars.
Students who choose the Welsh language seminar option will attend the main weekly lecture programme but will be able to discuss and debate the topic through the medium of Welsh in their seminar group.    This is the first time a Welsh language provision has been available on the undergraduate programme at JOMEC.
