Collecting your Cardiff University Student Card in Person
Your Cardiff University Student Card will be produced and issued to you at one of the venues listed below, based on which campus (Cathays Park or Heath Park) you are attending.
Please note before obtaining your Cardiff University student card:
- YOU MUST COMPLETE ONLINE ENROLMENT
- YOU MUST PROVIDE PROVIDE PROOF OF YOUR IDENTITY AT COLLECTION
- INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR ORIGINAL PASSPORT AND VISA
***Please ensure you have your student number to hand when you attend the venue***
You will not be issued with a card unless you have registered online and have provided the appropriate identification (Please note, you are not required to send in proof of identity, you should bring this with you to the appropriate venue).
You MUST collect your student card within the first two weeks of the start of your course. Failure to collect your Student Card will mean you are regarded as a 'No Show' which, if applicable, will result in your student loan funding not being released to you or, if you are an International student you may be reported to the UK Border Agency, as not attending the University.
Collection of Student Card
Unless individual arrangements have been agreed with your School (the details of which will be sent to you by your school), you should collect your Student Card as soon as possible, and no later that 2 weeks after the start or your course, from The Security Centre, Park Place, Cardiff, CF10 3AT. (Mon-Thurs 9.00am-4.30pm, Fri 9.00am-3.30pm).
School of Nursing and Midwifery
Your school will send you a Student Card application form for you to complete and return to the school along with a passport photograph. Your student cards will then be produced in advance and distributed to you at your school enrolment event.
What to expect at the ID Card Venues
On arrival at a Student Card venue or the Security Centre, you will be asked whether you have enrolled online. (If you have not enrolled online, you will be asked to complete this before returning for your card).
If you have completed online enrolment, you will be directed to a camera station where you will be asked for your student number, proof of your identity, have your photograph taken and be issued with your Student Card.
