Step 5. Specific Provision in Assessments or Students with Disabilities
Cardiff University is committed to ensuring that students with disabilities have equal access to resources and facilities. For more detailed information and advice please visit the Disability and Dyslexia Service.
Specific Provision in Examinations
If you have a disability, it may be possible for additional arrangements to be made for you in your examinations or class tests.
If you would like to be considered for this, you will need to apply by printing the Specific Provision Application form, completing it, and sending it back to:
Disability and Dyslexia Service,
Student Support Centre,
50 Park Place,
Cardiff CF10 3AT
You may need to complete this form if:
- you have a disability (for instance, if you have dyslexia or dyspraxia, a physical or sensory impairment, mental health difficulties, or a long term medical condition);
- you have a temporary condition or injury which might affect you in any assessments including examination.
Previously, you may have had adjustments such as extra time, or use of a computer or a scribe while sitting exams in school or college. If you require this kind of provision at university, you will need to apply using this form.
The Disability and Dyslexia Service can advise on the adjustments that might be appropriate for you.
