Student Enterprise offers impartial information and guidance to all Cardiff University students and recent graduates on how to take an idea forward and how to take an existing business or social enterprise to the next level. SPARK Business Idea Competition
Got a bright idea for a business or a social enterprise?
SPARK supports enterprising ideas at Cardiff University. If you have an idea for a Business or a Social Enterprise (i.e. not for profit) then you could win up to £1000 to help to make your bright idea a reality. All you need to do is complete the application form and put your ideas onto paper!

Develop practical business skills which you can use to start a new venture or simply learn more about how businesses work to impress a potential employer. Attend 6 different workshops and receive a Certificate of Professional Development in Business and Enterprise. Workshops include Intro to self employment, Know your market and competitors, Developing a marketing strategy, Costing and pricing and Financial planning.

Business Start-up Week consists of workshops to help you fill the gaps in your business start-up knowledge. It’s the ideal opportunity to acquire the skills that you’ll need to get your business up and running. Attend the whole week or just pick and mix the sessions to suit your needs. By the end of the programme we hope that you will be able to demonstrate an increased knowledge of how to start and run a small firm.

Centerprise - Student Business Incubation Unit
Are you running a business or have a venture you want to develop?
Centerprise offers a support programme to student businesses ‘free of charge’ to help them to develop and grow. The facility consists of a small hot-desking office space with a meeting room and access to office services, located on the ground floor of the Students’ Union Building.

Join in the Go Global Enterprise Day as part of the Students’ Union GO GLOBAL festival of culture and diversity. Hear talks from inspiring entrepreneurs running international businesses and take part in workshops on subjects including: Import and export in the UK, UK company registration & legal issues, International patents, Business culture and practices around the world.
