Postgraduate

Phantom limb after amputation is commonly found in more than 90% of patients.

Research in the specialist areas is conducted in a large number of purpose-built laboratories that have all been refurbished within the last five years. The broad range of expertise within the School allows us to provide training in an unusually wide range of methodological techniques. A distinctive feature of the School is that the integration which exists across different disciplines provides unique opportunities for multidisciplinary research projects. More than £1.2 million has been awarded to the Co-operative on Plasticity, Learning and Memory - an interdisciplinary group of scientists for the schools of Psychology and Biosciences. New £10 million Brain and Repair Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) with a team of specialist staff working at the forefront of brain research.


Postgraduate Research

At present there are some 80 postgraduate students within the School. We have a variety of funding sources available and welcome applications from UK, EU and non-UK citizens. We have recently accepted students from both within the EC (Belgium, Greece, Italy, Spain) and outside (Turkey, Romania, Canada, Malaysia).

Postgraduate Taught

The broad range of expertise within the School allows us to provide training in an unusually wide range of methodological techniques. Taught programmes are offered in Educational Psychology and Clinical Psychology.
