The Project Plan can be used during Stage 3 of the Project Management Framework. The plan should break down the project into small sections, showing when each section will be started and completed also allocating tasks and responsibilities to each section. The Project plan should be completed and maintained by the Project Manager.
The plan should identify the milestones where a significant piece of work should be complete. Milestones can be used to determine when a meeting should be scheduled with the Independent Reviewer.
The Project Plan also provides information about the people involved in the project and their roles and responsibilities. This enables all team members to be clear about their responsibilities.
This document is used as a practical plan and should be kept up-to-date throughout the project. It can be given to interested parties such as the sponsor, Head of Department, Budget Holder, University Board or Planning Division.
