Cardiff Research Initiative Fund

Calls for Research and REF initiatives

Further to the announcement of these initiatives at the recent Research, Innovation and Enterprise Town Hall meetings, there is now a call for three centrally-funded initiatives:

  • Research Infrastructure Fund (previously known as the Large Equipment fund, but now widened to include any equipment to support the physical and virtual infrastructure).  
  • Research Leave Fellowship scheme
  • Independent Researcher Secondment scheme

All the schemes are founded upon the principle of research excellence and are aimed at strengthening our return to REF 2014.
