The Centre is involved in providing and organising one and two day courses and workshops, as training programmes in socioeconomic research.
Pharmaceutical Medicine (Diploma) - This training course was established to provide a structured training programme in pharmaceutical medicine for doctors employed in the pharmaceutical industry, contract research organisations (CROs) and regulatory authorities. It is now the leading course of its type in the world.
MSc/Diploma in Clinical Research - This course aims to provide a structured training programme in clinical research for personnel employed by a pharmaceutical company or contract research organisation to enable such persons to gain the specialist knowledge and skills needed to practice as a clinical research associate or study site co-ordinator, thereby increasing their competency to practice. This course has proved highly successful.
International Pharmacoeconomics and Health Economics (MSc/Diploma) - This new collaborative programme is delivered by international staff at the Europa Fachhochschule Fresenius University of Applied Sciences (EFF) in Idstein, Germany, and leads to the award of a Cardiff University MSc Degree. The programme is modular in structure and consists of 120 ECTS credits, including compulsory modules covering the primary disciplines in health economics and pharmacoeconomics and elective modules intended for specialisation.
