Themes
Themes represent a flexible umbrella for staff to undertake research reflecting the dynamic nature of the School’s ongoing multidisciplinary approach and promoting and fostering the School's strategic research activities.
Themes serve to improve communication of research, training and collaboration between staff. Each theme is led by a “theme leader” who co-ordinates group meetings, awareness of grant applications and conferences.
Strategic support is provided through the Research Strategy Group (RSG), with targeted studentships, pump priming funds and administrative support.
Research by individuals may fall within more than one theme.
