Internal Peer Review of Grants

If you are applying for a grant exceeding £50K from a Charity, Research Council, Government or European body, you must have your application reviewed by an independent staff member.

Following this review, the Internal Peer review form should be signed by both parties and returned to the Research Office. Only then will approval be given for the respective CAP form and application. 

You should allow enough time for internal peer review before the application deadline.

 

Research Development Fund

The Research Development fund exists to maximise the impact of the School's research. The fund will be used to sponsor activities consistent with the School's research priorities that could otherwise not be fully supported by the applicant, and which are are likely to result in high quality research outputs and grants.

Applications will be considered at each Research Committee meeting. The application form below should be emailed to saunderscm@cardiff.ac.uk no later than 14 working days prior to the next ResCom meeting.

The Research Committee will then use the Research Development Fund Review proforma to score the applications

 

50:50 Studentships

The School Research Committee will provide fractional support for a number of  full-time, three-year PhD students.

The fifth call has closed.

You will be emailed when a new call is announced.

 

Research & Scholarship Review Proforma

The "Research & Scholarship Review" proforma is to be used as part of the School's annual appraisal and research performance management, and will provide for challenge and self-reflection of one's own individual research strategy.
