Andrew Lim, who starts his final year in October, was awarded a Commended Poster Prize at the 2011 UK PharmSci conference in Nottingham for his poster entitled 'Design and synthesis of CYP26 inhibitors as novel antiproliferative agents' .
During the Summer of 2010, Andrew worked in Dr Claire Simons's laboratory on the cytochrome P-26 (CYP26) project (computer modeling and synthesis) involving optimising the compounds for CYP selectivity and drug solubility. He achieved a considerable amount during the 8 week placement which was funded by the Nuffield Foundation.

Earlier this year Andrew's work had also been successful at the British Pharmacy Students Association (BPSA) annual conference where he was awarded the Poster Prize.
More information about CYP26 and related projects can be found in Dr Simons's web pages.
