Professor Ole Petersen, Director, Cardiff School of Biosciences, who attended part of the day and presented the prizes, said after the event:
"I was delighted to participate in the Research Day and particularly impressed by the very high standard of the posters presented by the PhD students. I had really interesting discussions around the posters with highly motivated and very well informed students."
The Postgraduate Research Day has been held annually in the Welsh School of Pharmacy since the start of this century and provides a valuable experience for the PhD students during their study period in Cardiff to present their endeavours to their peers in a supportive environment. It is currently organised by Dr Emma Kidd with assistance from Wendy Davies (Post-graduate administrator) and an organising committee from within the School.
