Dr Elsbeth Headley (Cambridge University) 1999-2002. Supported by funding as part of the Cambridge Pharmacology Fellowship program to study how angiotensin II influences the severity of myocardial ischaemia-reperfusion injury.

Dr Nichola Underdown (Cardiff University) 2002-2005.Supported by a British Heart Foundation project grant to examine the cardiac pharmacology of endocannabinoids and their induction of protection from myocardial ischaemia-reperfusion injury.
