Dr Chris Allender

Career Profile

My early career was largely in the brewing industry, but I moved to the Welsh School of Pharmacy in 1994 to study for a PhD having, in 1993, graduated from the Open University with a First Class degree. Under the joint supervision of Drs CM Heard and KR Brain my research covered areas of (trans)dermal drug delivery and molecular imprinting.  I was awarded a PhD in 1997 and subsequently worked within the School of Pharmacy as a post-doctoral researcher until 2001 when I was appointed lecturer.
