Overview

I work as Technical Demonstrator for the School of Journalism, Media & Cultural Studies, tutoring students in the use of specialist systems used in journalism and media.

Working closely with lecturers to help students develop skills and knowledge in media productions across Broadcast TV and Radio, Documentary, Newspaper and Magazine courses, through practical classroom teaching and specialist workshops.

I studied BSc Music Technology with Management and MSc Music Technology at Staffordshire University, specialising in audio recording, acoustics, post-production sound, and digital and analog sound processing.

I have worked as a creative practitioner in a professional capacity across a range of industries, from live sound, recording and post production, video editor, filmmaker, XR developer and designer.

Prior to joining Cardiff University, I worked on a project focusing on employability and training in isolated areas of South East Wales, creating promotional videos, print and digital marketing material, and managing social media networks.

My interests include audio production, video production, photography, design and publication, e-learning and classroom technology, as well as new emerging forms of media and technology such as VR, AR and immersive experiences.
