Overview
I have 20 years’ clinical experience, working in the field of cancer and palliative care, which shapes my unique contribution to the School of Healthcare Sciences. I currently lead on Cancer and Palliative Care education both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. I am Module Lead for the MSc Understanding Cancer module, and the post-registration level 6, End of Life Care module.

Teaching
I am actively involved in teaching, supervising and supporting undergraduate, post–registration and postgraduate students. My specialist subjects are Palliative & End of Life Care, Cancer Care and Person-Centred Care. I have a special interest in patient stories and their contribution to health professionals learning.

Biography
I registered as a nurse in 1995 at Swansea and worked in Oncology for a number of years before specialising in End of Life Care. I worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care for 15 years in both the hospital and community settings. I joined Cardiff University in 2015 and teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I am an independent prescriber and contribute to teaching about prescribing in Palliative Care to the Non-Medical Prescribing Programme.
