Overview

Dr Popov works in the area of Economics of Academia. He studies the publication patterns among economists empirically and explains them with the theoretical analysis.

Teaching

Dr Popov teaches BS 2550, Microeconomic Theory. It covers the concept of general equilibrium, it's connection to efficiency of market outcomes, and why markets fail. The course connects to a number of 3rd year courses, which is why it is mandatory for Economists.
