Reduced placental gene expression of the imprinted gene PEG3 has previously been associated with maternal mood disorders and adverse offspring behavioural outcomes. In collaboration with the Grown in Wales project, my current research project aims to further elucidate this relationship and determine the role epigenetic dysregulation plays in altering PEG3 gene expression. This project is supervised by Professor Rosalind John and Doctor Anna Janssen.
