Optomtetrists Climb Mount Kilimanjaro
18 September 2011
In September 2011, Optomtetrists Amar Shah and Allannah Gaffney completed a 7 day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro, the world's highest freestanding mountain,
to raise awareness of macular disease and funds for the Macular Disease Society. The Society provides valuable support for people with central vision loss. The pair have now raised £5,000 for the charity and are very grateful to the Cardiff University Eye Clinic for all their fundraising efforts!
