International Students

Cardiff University has a unique multi-cultural environment and our School has a long tradition of admitting international students to the BSc Optometry degree. We typically have 15-20 students from overseas in each undergraduate year group, plus many international postgraduate students.
Past students have enrolled from countries all over the world, including Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Nigeria, Mauritius, Egypt, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada, USA, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Australia, France, Spain, Cyprus, Germany, Malta, Russia, Ireland and Gibraltar.
And as the only UK optometry School based in Wales, we of course welcome students from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland!

Having such a large number of international students (typically 15-20 in each year) gives the School a vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere, and means that any overseas student is made very welcome.

The Cardiff University International Relations Divison are very helpful and their website (Here) contains all the information you need for applying to Cardiff University, and about studying and living in Cardiff.
