Located in the centre of the capital city of Wales, it has an international reputation for the quality of its work, which attracts staff and students from around the world.
University residences provide an opportunity to meet and get to know students from a variety of backgrounds, studying a range of different subjects. The University is also continually investing in its student residences and protects this investment with extensive annual maintenance programmes.

According to The Independent newspaper, the Cardiff Student Union is the biggest and best equipped in Britain. It houses over 200 clubs and societies. Joining a society is a great way to get to know like-minded students. The Athletic Union alone runs 50 clubs. You can further choose from a wide range of recreational, cultural, religious, political, international and volunteering societies.
Solus, a nightclub at the Union, is open six nights a week and is restricted to students only. A free late-night minibus service is offered by the Union.
