75th Anniversary
Calling all Cardiff Graduates!!
During the whole of 2010 we will be celebrating 75 years of optics and optometry teaching in Cardiff - and we have a host of events planned to mark this magnificent milestone.
If you are attending the Welsh National Optometrists’ Conference on the 6th-7th March 2010 (www.wopec.co.uk), the conference dinner has been identified as the first event for alumni to meet up this year.
In March we will also launch our anniversary exhibition of interesting optical artefacts that will stay on display through until 2011:
‘Optics and Optometry Through the Years – Student Life and Training in Cardiff’
This will include images of Cardiff past and present - who knows, you may even recognise someone!! It will also include a recreation of a 1960s consulting room. If you have any photos you would allow us to use (very carefully), please get in touch!
In October 2010 we will have our anniversary weekend with some special opportunities to meet up, surrounding a fabulous alumni dinner which will include after-dinner entertainment. We will be encouraging people to tell us what year they graduated or book with their friends so that we can gather people in groups for this very special occasion. Booking information will be available soon.
