95%of Cardiff University graduates are in employment, study or both within six months of graduating, according to new figures released today (Thursday 6th July, 2017).

The latest Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey finds the percentage of full-time first degree leavers in 2015/16 who were employed, studying or both at 94.8%.

Slightly up on the previous year’s result (94.1%) Cardiff University remains above the UK (94.3%), England (94.2%) and Wales (94.7%) averages.

“These figures confirm that Cardiff University graduates are highly sought after by employers and are equipped with the right skills for further study,” according to Cardiff University’s  Pro Vice-Chancellor, Student Experience & Academic Standards, Professor Amanda Coffey.

“Our continued strength is testimony to our commitment to providing our students with the skills they need for the workplace.”

“Colleagues across the university work hard in equipping our students with the skills to turn theory into practical application. Providing experience of the working world is also an important facet of preparing our graduates for life outside of education.

“As a result, we remain highly regarded by employers and have an excellent graduate employment record with students finding employment or entering further training.”
