Staff gym membership offer

As part of Cardiff University Sport’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of University staff, we are pleased to announce that from 1 August 2017 all staff paying for sport membership will be subject to a reduced charge to match the membership category currently offered to Cardiff University Students.
For the first time we have reduced our Staff membership prices to make them comparable with our student charges. As such a membership paid by salary deduction will cost as little as £14.17 per month or £3.54 per week or only 50p per day!
Between 26 June and 7 July 2017 we will again be supporting the University PHEW initiative. Taking place over a fortnight, PHEW provides opportunities for staff to participate in a wide range of events and activities, with the aim of encouraging health, wellbeing and environmental awareness.
As part of our continued support of the initiative, Cardiff University Sport will be offering one month’s free gym membership for staff. To qualify for the free membership all you need to do is visit one of our facilities and sign up for the sport salary deduction scheme during PHEW fortnight (26 June to the 7 July). A staff membership entitles you to visit all of the fitness facilities with full gym access. We will commence this deduction from August so providing free access for all of July.
The first 20 staff members joining during PHEW week and taking advantage of the offer will also be provided with a gift bag full of goodies.
The University Sport facilities are currently undergoing some exciting refurbishments over the summer. You can visit us at Studio 49 where we have relocated some equipment from the Fitness and Squash Centre, and of course there is still the popular Strength and Conditioning room available at the Sports Training Village. We have received some great feedback on the temporary provision and looking forward to re-opening the improved facilities in the new academic year.
