European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute Symposium

9 August 2016

Hadyn Ellis Buidling

On 6 and 7 September 2016, the European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute will hold its 4th annual research symposium in Cardiff.

The symposium has a focus on Cancer Stem Cells, Resistance and Tumour Heterogeneity, and the programme brings together respected cancer researchers from around the world to discuss the latest developments in this particular field of cancer research.

The event will also include an Early-Career Research Symposium on the afternoon of 7 September, which will feature posters and presentations from PhD students and early-career researchers.

Following the untimely death of the former Director of the Institute, Professor Alan Clarke, at the end of 2015, this year’s symposium will include a special session of distinguished invited speakers on the morning of 6 September who will celebrate Professor Clarke’s important contributions to cancer and related research fields.
