Jamie Roberts, star of the Welsh and British and Irish Lions teams, today formally adds a medical degree to his long list of accolades.

On the back of the Lions' historic win in Australia earlier this month, Jamie graduates from Cardiff University's School of Medicine after successfully completing his medical degree.

Over the last eight years Jamie has juggled endless games for his former club, Cardiff Blues , Six Nations Championships, World Cups and countless international tours with both the Wales and British and Irish Lions teams with perhaps, one of the toughest and most intensive degrees you can study.

Jamie said:"I'd be lying if I said it hasn't been tough but achieving one of my main goals in life means it's worth every second," said Jamie ahead of his graduation ceremony.

"I look forward to enjoying graduation with other fellow students. It promises to be a memorable day for us all, as it has been for all those graduating from Cardiff University this week. I've a huge amount to thank the University for, most notably the School of Medicine and I'm eternally grateful for their help and support over the past 8 years.

"I'm excited to see what the future holds, both in terms of my rugby and my medical career," he added.
