New prize award announced for MSc Geography and Planning students.

As part of the School of Geography and Planning 50th anniversary celebrations the School is delighted to announce that David Lock Associates has initiated an annual £500 prize for what they judge to be the best masters Live Project.

The Live Project gives students on the MSc Spatial Planning and Development and other masters programmes an opportunity to work with 'real-life' clients on a planning problem.  Duncan Chadwick, School of Geography and Planning alumnus and a partner at David Lock Associates said: “The Live Project is an excellent way of developing the kinds of skills students will need in the planning office.'

David Lock Associates is an independent town planning, urban design and master planning consultancy based in Milton Keynes, owned by a trust on behalf of its employees.

For more information on the prize, to be awarded annually, and how to apply please contact Dr Huw Thomas, Course Director, MSc Spatial Planning and Development: ThomasH1@cardiff.ac.uk
