The School of Music has been ranked 7th place in the Times Good University Guide 2019, reaching the highest place held by the School in recent years.

As well as rising a place from 8th in last year’s rankings, the School has continued to remain within the top 20 music schools in the Complete University Guide and the Guardian University league tables.

This year, we have also celebrated a phenomenal achievement of 98% student satisfaction in the National Student Survey, and an unbeatable 100% employment rate for our 2017 graduates.

These achievements come less than a year after the School of Music was voted School of the Year at the Cardiff University Celebrating Excellence Awards 2017.

Head of School, Professor Kenneth Hamilton, said of the results "I’m really delighted to see that this new set of results not only further cements our position among the top ten Music Schools in the country, but also awarded us one of the best scores for teaching quality in the country."
