Welsh School of Architecture launches new postgraduate course

The Welsh School of Architecture has launched a new postgraduate course. The MSc Computational Methods in Architecture is available for entry in 2018/19.

The course addresses the need for creative professionals who are equipped with the IT skills, digital fabrication skills, simulation software skills, or the ability to design custom-software development tools to solve unique design problems. It is taught by experts from across the Schools of Architecture, Computer Science and Informatics, and Engineering to give you a multidisciplinary breadth of knowledge which mirrors professional practice.

Students can look forward to learning about innovative algorithmic design methods in architecture and building their own digital tools through visual programming and scripting. Our advanced digital fabrication equipment, including a large industrial robotic arm, will enable students to gain valuable practical experience.

The new course will complement the School’s portfolio of existing programmes and expertise in the areas of sustainable built environments, architectural science, innovative design, and the management of design projects.

We are now accepting application for this course. To learn more about the topics covered on the programme, please visit our dedicated course webpage.
